Jozef Adamik

Obituary

May 29, 1948 ~ October 2, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jozef Adamik, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He passed away peacefully at the age of 77 surrounded by family at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, Washington after a courageous battle with cancer. Jozef was born in Czechoslovakia on May 29, 1948, and immigrated to the United States to build a better life for his family.

A talented engineer with an extraordinary gift for mathematics, he was always ready to lend a hand – whether solving complex problems at work, helping family with homework or tackling home projects with patience and skill. However, his true legacy lies in the example he set as a devoted Catholic and as a loving family man. His faith was central to everything he did, and he always put the Lord first. His quiet strength and humility were his guiding lights, and he faced life’s challenges with perseverance and grace, particularly in his final days.

Jozef is survived by his wife, Marica, and children: Roman, Zuzi, and Michael. He is also survived by his stepchildren: Vili, Rosie, Maureen, and James, as well as his brothers Milan and Peter, and 14 grandchildren, all of whom were deeply cherished by him. He is preceded in death by his devoted parents, Jan Adamik and Justina Adamikova, who loved him dearly.

He was a man who gave selflessly, always helping others without expecting anything in return. His unwavering support and generous heart will be remembered by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on October 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kirkland.

Jozef lived a beautiful life, one full of love, faith, and family. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. May his soul rest in peace in the presence of our Lord.
