Peter Paul Mencarelli Jr

Obituary

Peter Paul Mencarelli Jr., 77, was called home by the Lord on November 16, 2021.

Peter Paul is the son to Peter Paul Mencarelli Sr. and Lorraine “Lori” Mencarelli, who proceeded him in death.

Pete graduated from Mount Eden High School in Hayward, California in 1962. He loved and played football as a Monarch.  Pete had a long, successful career with Standard Oil Chevron.  He started with Standard Oil and soon became an assistant manager at a Chevron Station in Hayward, California.  He then managed the Chevron at the San Francisco Airport.  Pete went on to own his own Chevron station; Blacow Chevron in Fremont, California until he retired and relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada.  Later in life he moved to Millcreek, Washington.

In his spare time Pete loved his animals, friends, football, fishing, playing on his computer (Call of Duty), cars, motorcycles, golfing, gardening, going to the movies and watching war movies.

Pete was a loving husband, father, and successful businessman.  He had a great sense of humor.  He enjoyed making everyone laugh and telling funny stories.  Pete also frequently quoted “old age ain’t for sissies” and “follow the golden rule.”  Peter Paul lived a full, happy life.  It’s difficult to summarize a full life into just a few words.  He will be forever, dearly loved and missed.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth. They re-connected in 2008 after both attending Mount Eden High School.  He has four surviving children David and Trisha with Mariellen, whom he met in High School and were married for 10 years.  Laura and Lisa with Sharon whom he married in 1976 and were married for 22 years.  Pete also has two surviving stepchildren, Jeff and Jennifer, with Elizabeth.  Peter has one surviving brother, Rick Mencarelli, wife Renee and their son, nephew, Ross.  To date, Peter has 10 surviving grandchildren: Hailey, Zach, Maya, Bradley, Nolan, Tripp, Phoebe, Nicole, Curtis, and Maggie and one grandson, Race, who proceeded him in death.

The family will have a private celebration of life for Peter Paul Mencarelli Jr.  Any donations may be made in honor of Peter Paul Mencarelli Jr. to the ASPCA or Diabetes Foundation.
