Mahin Nameni
Obituary
In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother, Mahin Nameni, who lived her
lifetime journey during June 9, 1937 – September 1, 2026.
v We gather here at the Chapel of the Resurrection with heavy hearts and
profound gratitude to mourn and celebrate together our mother, Mahin, a
cherished mother, and devoted family woman whose presence brought unity, strength,
and devotion to anyone fortunate enough to know her.
v Born in the small town of Sabzevar, NE of Iran, and later growing up in
the Capital City of Tehran, she carried resilience, self-esteem, courage, and a
lasting love and relationship for her entire family, friends, and neighbors from
her earliest years. She lived a life full of challenges and experienced life’s
joys and with remarkable strength, building a life centered on her household
care, hardworking family focused husband, children, siblings, and loving her
neighbors. Her family was her greatest treasure.
v A mother’s love is uniquely sacred. It gives us our first home, teaches
us our first lessons, holds hands, and continues to hold our hearts even when
physically absent. Mahin’s lifetime effort was evident in her concerns for
family of all people around her, time spent with loved ones, determination to
remain strong, in memories created with us.
v Looking through her presence, we see her life—spending and providing
comfort for the family, cooking authentic Persian meals, enjoying time and living
with others, and simply being present together. We see a woman who continued to
participate in life with dignity and courage, while her health conditions
weakened and living challenges arose.
v In her past three years of her life with us at home, Mahin lived with
significant health challenges, including Congestive Heart Failure, progressive
COPD lung fluid buildup that made her normal breathing very difficult. Despite
her health constraints, she remained strong by PT/OT walking around the house
and outside with her walker and a couple of recent trips to Florida and Las
Vegas, our mother, whose life and presence mattered deeply to everyone around.
v On September 1, 2026 at age 89 Mahin Nameni passed away at 3:27 PM at the
Evergreen Health Hospital ICU Room 3008 in Kirkland, Washington. Though we
grieve her absence, we find comfort in knowing her suffering ended and her love
endures. Death may take away physical presence, but it can’t erase the impact
on our hearts. Mahin lives on in our memories, family, lessons earned, and
every life she impressed.
v A Woman We Call Blessed. The Bible describes a woman whose life blessed
her family:
— Proverbs 31:28
“Her children arise and call her blessed.” — Proverbs 31:28
Today, we call Mahin blessed. Blessed for her 89 years, the family she
raised and loved, the memories she left, the strength she showed, and the love
that will pay forward through our generations.
A Prayer for Our Mother, MAHIN:
v Heavenly Father, we place our beloved mother, Mahin, into Your loving
hands. Thank You for her 89 years, the love she shared, the memories she
created, and the family she cherished. As she leaves this life, receive her
soul with mercy and compassion. Grant her eternal rest and surround her with
Your light.
v Where there’s no pain, let her know peace. Where there’s no sorrow, let her know joy. Where there are no tears, let her know Your love. Comfort us who remain.
Give us strength when emptiness feels overwhelming and help us remember her
with gratitude. May her love guide us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we
honor her life by carrying her legacy forward.
May her soul rest peacefully in God’s eternal care. Amen.
v Forever Our Mother. Mom, we wish we could say and share so many things
one more time. We wish we could hold your hand, hear your voice, and tell you
how much you mean to us. But the greatest thing we can say today is: Thank you,
Mom.
Thank you for your lifetime love
raising us, your strength, sacrifices, all time memories, and for being our
mother. A mother’s love doesn’t leave her children; it remains in cherished
memories, quiet prayers, and moments of remembering the woman who gave us so
much.
v Your earthly journey ended, but your spiritual presence and life story
lives on in our photographs, conversations, traditions, and hearts.
Rest peacefully Dear Mother —May the Lord bless you and enlighten you to
his universe, shine His light upon you, surround you with heavenly favor, and
keep you shielded in loving embrace.
Always Remembered, from all of us, your children & grandchildren’s
family circle, your parents’ generation, your siblings and their families, and community
of your friends.
