Benjamin Howell MacNabb

Obituary

Benjamin Howell MacNabb, lovingly known as Benjie, passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 51, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Benjie was born on December 17, 1974, in Newnan, Georgia, the son of George Malcolm MacNabb Jr. and Mary Kathryn “Markie” O’Callaghan (Underwood). A native of Newnan, Georgia, he attended Auburn University, where he earned a degree in finance.

Throughout his professional life, Benjie built a successful career in financial planning and sales. He was hardworking and driven, and much of that determination came from his desire to provide for the people he loved.

But more than any professional accomplishment, Benjie was proudest of being a father. His sons —Leland MacNabb, Hayes MacNabb, Kameron Davis, and Parks MacNabb — were at the center of his life. His love for his boys was evident in everything he did.

Benjie was strong, funny, loving, loyal, and hardworking. He was the kind of friend who could be counted on when someone needed him and someone who showed his love through simply being there. He enjoyed golf, traveling, spending time with the people he loved, and making memories with his family and friends.

His strength was especially evident throughout his illness. Benjie endured more than most people ever should, yet continued to fight through tremendous challenges and suffering. He was willing to try whatever he could for the possibility of more time with his boys. That determination reflected the depth of his love for them and remained at the heart of his fight until the end.

During the final season of his life, Benjie’s Christian faith deepened significantly. On August 30, 2026, he was baptized, marking an important and meaningful step in his relationship with Jesus Christ. As his earthly life drew to a close, his faith became a strong source of hope, comfort, and peace.

Benjie will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, his humor, and above all, the extraordinary love he had for his sons. His life leaves behind a legacy in the four boys he loved so deeply and in the family and friends who were fortunate enough to know him.

A service honoring Benjie’s life will be held on October 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Park Church, in Bothell, Washington.

Visitation will also be held in Benjie’s hometown of Newnan, Georgia, on October 13, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home.
