David Michael Sappenfield
Obituary
David Michael Sappenfield, 48, of
Woodinville, Washington, passed away on April 13, 2026, after a short,
courageous battle with mesothelioma.
Born on March 25, 1978, in Seattle,
Washington, David was a tall, loving, generous, and endlessly funny man who
brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. He cherished his family above
all else and was a proud "girl dad" to his two daughters.
David and his wife, Morgan
Sappenfield, shared 23 beautiful years together, building a life filled with
love, support, and countless cherished memories. He was a devoted husband and
an involved father to Riley and Reagan. David was always there for his girls-coaching
their sports, cheering loudly from the sidelines, and showing up in every way
that mattered. His generous spirit and quick wit made him the heart of the
family and a beloved friend to many.
A passionate lover of music and a
dedicated Seattle sports fan, David found joy in the things he loved
most-whether it was blasting his favorite songs, going to many concerts or
rooting for his team on game day.
He is survived by his loving wife,
Morgan Sappenfield; his daughters, Riley and Reagan Sappenfield; and other
family members who held him dear. David was preceded in death by his mother,
Debbie Strand; his father, Michael Sappenfield; and his father-in-law, Tom
Linnell.
Though his time with us was cut far
too short, David's legacy of love, humor, generosity, and unwavering support
for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
