Obituary

Born Jan 11th, 1948, in San Diego, California, passed suddenly on May 29th, 2022, in Bothell, Washington, with her daughters Kim and Kerrie and grandchildren Jordan, Brittany, and Beatriz by her side as she went home to be with the Lord.

 

Shirley was a local long-time hairstylist, working with her daughter Kerrie at Salon Rae in Kirkland, Washington. She loved her craft, her clients, and coworkers, and to her, it was more than just a job, it was a mission field. If you sat in her chair, rest assured your hair would be perfect and your heart, mind, and body would be at peace as she would exude the love of Christ and ask if you needed prayer for anything. She was active in church and intercessory, and healing prayer teams was her heart's focus and passion. Shirley was loved by so many and left a mark on everyone she met. In her younger years, Shirley competed in hair shows, winning many trophies and awards, making her name known. She was also in competitive couple’s figure roller skating while living in San Diego, California. She moved to Washington state in the 70’s and called it home until her passing. She is survived by her daughters, Kim and Kerrie, and son in law Sam. Grandkids Jordan, Brittany, Heaven, Beatriz, Moriah, Gabrielle, and Joshua, and her great grandkids, Isaiah, and Ezra. Sisters, Sandy and Rena, and her brother Greg, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will truly be missed, but forever in our hearts. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm on October 2nd, 2022 @ 17301 Beach Drive Ne Lake Forest Park, WA. 98155 at the Civic Club.
