James Louis Voros, 77, passed away on August 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Denver, Colorado on July 26, 1949, to Louis and Taimie Voros.

Jim is survived by his wife, Patty Voros; daughters Amy Voros and Kimberly Voros; son Aaron Voros and his wife, Katie; and granddaughter Lily, who brought him great joy.

A graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, Jim had a strong faith that was an important part of his life. He also had a deep love and appreciation for all kinds of music.

Jim’s working years took him through many different fields, including retail, customer service, real estate appraisal, and banking. He was curious and always willing to learn, which gave him knowledge about many different things and made him someone who always seemed to know a little about just about everything.

Jim had a warm personality, a smooth, radio-worthy voice, and a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to tease and joke with family and friends, and his quick wit and vast knowledge of trivia often made conversations with him memorable.

In recent years, Jim devoted much of his free time to watercolor painting. He took great pride in perfecting his art and especially enjoyed creating special Christmas cards each year to share his love of creating with others.

He also had a great love for electronics. It was rare to see Jim without a tablet or phone in his hand—and usually there was a charging cord attached! He loved technology and was always curious about the latest gadgets.

Food and cooking were another great pleasure in Jim's life. He especially loved sweets, from cookies and candy with nuts to just about anything tasty. He enjoyed cooking for his family, and some of his specialties included baby back ribs, pecan rolls, Christmas breads, and his mother's stroganoff and peanut brittle.

Jim will be remembered for his gentle presence, his humor, his curiosity, his creativity, and his ability to make people smile. His family will miss his quirky sense of humor, his endless knowledge of trivia, his love of good food, and, most of all, simply having him there.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Edmonds Lutheran Church, 23525 84th Ave W, Edmonds, WA 98026.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to remember Jim to make a memorial donation to a charity of their choice.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
