Betsy Anne Klier

Obituary

Betsy Anne Klier, 85, of Redmond, Washington, went home to our Lord on September 25, 2025.

Betsy was born in Youngstown, Ohio June 5, 1940. As a child she moved to San Bernardino, California where she met and married Marlin Klier in February 1958.  In 1970, Marlin and Betsy moved their family to Everett, WA. Betsy has been a resident of Washington State for the last 55 years.

Betsy was an avid reader, enjoyed needle arts including quilting, knitting, counted cross embroidery, and Norwegian Hardanger embroidery. She worked for many years at the Creative Needle in Everett and enjoyed sharing those skills either teaching at the store and after retiring teaching in her home. She was active at her church and she was a Bethel Bible Series Instructor. She also enjoyed camping and fishing trips with Marlin.

Betsy gave back to her community in many ways: Volunteering on election days at polling places and serving the Lord through her church. Most notably she served as the Volunteer Chairwoman for March of Dimes, San Bernardino County in the late 1960's.

Betsy set an excellent example of being a supportive, loving wife to Marlin.  She was the best loving mother - she was exactly the mother and teacher that each of her children needed.

Betsy leaves her children, Karen and George Guiloreza of Carrollton, Texas, Elise and David LaRocque of Kirkland, Washington, and Keith Klier of Buckley, Washington. She leaves her grandchildren Andrew and Ying Guiloreza, Alex LaRocque and Ian LaRocque.  She also leaves her special cousin Ruth Christiansen, sister in law Pat Klier and her brother in law John Cosman II, in addition to many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Betsy joins her husband Marlin, her parents Frank and Ruthe Grimm, her sister Jane Cosman, nephew John Cosman III, and many others who went home before her. Services will be held at Chapel of the Resurrection at Cedar Park Church in Bothell, WA October, 11, 2025 at 2pm.
