Born with a long name, Henri Topo Wibowo Budi Suprianto, was called “Hence” when he was little. When he went to school in Indonesia, he was given the name Hendro because it was difficult for the people there to pronounce the name of Henri. After the riots in 1998, he tried his luck to get a US visa but it was declined. However, because of his strong determination, he finally obtained it.
It was not easy to live in the US but he did everything because he was determined to have a good life. After he was settled enough, he asked his girlfriend to come to the US and got officially married. He worked hard so he could send his children to the best schools. But at the same time, he got a heart disease. In the beginning they only needed to put a ring in his heart but apparently he had to go back and forth for surgeries. Before he passed away, he still needed to have another heart surgery. He once told me that God is good that he could work in a good company so all the medical bills were covered by the insurance.
On May 2, 2023, the same day as his wife’s birthday, he had a motorcycle accident and on May 5, 2023, he was called home to be with the Lord. Hendro left a wife and two children who loved him very much. He is a responsible father and a faith hero to his family. Every day he told his children to read the Bible and pray. It has become a daily routine. Even when he passed away, they still read the Bible faithfully.
It was not how he died and how old he was when God called him. But behind all that, it was the time for him to return to his Father’s house. His first child Israel wrote this on his Facebook page. Romans 14:8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Israel, a brave child at the age of 14 also promised that he would take care of his mother and little sister.
Farewell, my little brother, you are now in heaven. And God’s promises don't change, Psalm 112:1-2 “Hallelujah! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.”
