Obituary
Lyndal Marie Kennedy, 81, passed away peacefully on January
8, 2024, in Lake Stevens, WA, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born July 26, 1942, Lyndal enjoyed a life full of family,
friends, and animals. After attending Wilber High School, Lyndal went on to
Washington State University where she pledged Chi Omega and made lifelong
friends. After graduating in 1964 with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, Lyndal
married and had 2 sons, Michael and David Bobbett.
In addition to working as a party planner at Valley Medical
Center, Lyndal enjoyed many activities including clogging and square dancing.
Later in life, Lyndal was active in the Mill Creek Women’s
Club and the Mill Creek Garden Club where she held office of president for 4
years. She continued to create art throughout the years and designed the covers
of several garden tour programs.
Lyndal’s infectious laugh and sense of humor was a joy to
all who knew her. Art, music, gardening, dance, bridge, an occasional slot
machine, Cougar football, family, and friends all enriched her life!
Lyndal is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mary
(Bunny) Kennedy. She is survived by sons Mike (Heather) of Snohomish, WA; Dave
(Jo) of Battleground, WA; grandsons Maxwell, Jackson, & Devin; Sister Carol
Anne, and nephew Chris (Theresa). Her brother, Jim, also preceded her in death
having passed away on January 1, 2024.
Services will be held at the Chapel of the Resurrection in
Bothell, WA on February 10, 2024, at 11am with a reception to follow. In lieu
of flowers, please donate to the WSU Liberal Arts Scholarship Fund (GF001620) in
honor of Lyndal Kennedy. Go Cougs!
